A Ray of Light and Positivity has given me the opportunity to create sisterly bonds and new relationships that will last a lifetime. My best advice to new members is to remain optimistic and have an open mind to meeting new people, as you never know who you are going to meet. It's important to realize that your thoughts become your words, your words become your actions and your actions create your own reality. Most importantly, have faith and patience in your plan and keep up with positive affirmations and visualizations. The journey of a thousand miles began with a single step-so take action to manifest your creation."

"A Ray of Light and Positivity has given me a great experience with a mentoring group and has allowed me to become comfortable with expressing and being myself around others. It provided me with an outlet to express myself while providing close friends to talk to and spend time with. "A Ray of Light and Positivity has really taught me how to grow and how to open up about things that I usually wouldn't talk about-that actually needed to be talked about. AROLAP has overall formed a sisterhood between all of us young ladies and we feel comfortable coming to each other about anything. Being a part of the group really taught me how to calm myself and to focus on making myself better for the future. Small things that I used to do a year ago-I no longer do and this is thanks to the AROLAP mentors. "When I heard about AROLAP, I was honored my daughter was considered. At that time, many people didn't know that she was dealing with some serious issues and had stopped talking to me about her personal issues. Once she joined the group, I started to see small changes at first-she held her head up more and her confidence was growing. Over the course of the year, I began to see more drastic changes. The biggest changes for me were her choices in friends. This group helped her to realize what real friends are and she ended a lot of dead-end friendships-she now talks mostly about her Ray of Light and Positivity sisters. The other change which I think is the greatest is her accountability. This was a big issue for my daughter as she always blamed others for everything even when she was in the wrong. She now holds herself accountable and doesn't mind admitting when she is wrong and trying to correct it. I am no longer concerned with dropping her off to college because I feel as if she is finally ready and it is largely thanks to this group. I am glad that my daughter had great mentors to talk to when she didn't want to bring it to me."
